According to the Guide Michelin, the year 2022 saw one small family-run restaurant in Piesport rising to the top of Germany’s culinary scene. Piesport is a small-town of 2000 inhabitants, nestled to the slopes along the river Moselle. A picturesque place in one of our foremost wine regions. It has been like that since Roman times. “Like an amphitheatre’s rows”, Roman poet Ausonius described the vineyards framing the river valley. Amidst this magnificent setting, the hotel and restaurant Schanz offers elegant logding in 12 individual guest rooms and world class cuisine.
