To be certified with the "ccm – certified crisis management" seal of approval, a company must meet the following quality criteria, among others:
- The company has a written crisis plan that meets specified requirements.
- The company can form a pre-determined crisis management team, with its members identified.
- The company regularly trains employees on crisis-related topics and can provide evidence of this.
- The company has contractually agreed upon external support in the event of a crisis.
- The company is available to its customers by phone 24/7.
- The company provides proof of liability insurance (for tour operators) for personal and property damage with a minimum coverage sum of €5 million (or higher) per incident for personal injuries.
